Octonic promises PC VR-level graphics for mobile VR fitness

The VR fitness app Octonic connects mobile VR headsets like Meta Quest with more than 400 treadmills. A patent-pending technique is said to enable elaborate backdrops in PC VR quality. Background videos shot on PC cover multiple layers/spheres of the same viewpoint, promising a better spatial impression than 360-degree videos. First supported tracks are “Snow Lake”, “Alien Invasion” and the “Forest Trail” following on July 15.
