In addition, the AOUSD has announced a new relationship with the Khronos Group to improve support through the exchange of ideas and assistance.
In addition to welcoming the new members, the Alliance has also published a two-year roadmap. The AOUSD Core Specification Working Group will first define the fundamentals of OpenUSD to specify how low-level data is structured and interpreted.
This will ensure portability and interoperability across software platforms and devices. The core specifications are expected to be finalised by the end of 2025.
